Lessons from a crazy year, 2020:
1) Always keep the refrigerator stocked up because you never know when someone will be hungry…since the concept of “just going to the store” means bringing mask, sanitizer, gloves, face shield, full body suit, parka, etc. just to walk out the door.
2) For teachers, please realize that the pure joy of using the restroom at ANY time during the day (during distance learning) has been somewhat of a tease, since eventually we’ll return in class and hold that inner urge to pee until we’re ready to explode… like really explode.
3) Our family time to us (parents) is really headphone time (to our kids) when they’ve had enough of us for a day 😂
4) We really do need other people to talk to… even the most introvert person can realize that when you’re having a conversation with a dog and they just don’t get what you’re saying… it’s because your dog thinks you’re crazy.
5) The NASCAR drivers of the world have emerged in teenage racers down residential streets in our towns…and their loud mufflers are here to prove that you still have your hearing ability.
6) Driving to the beach or mountains is great, but the ability to enjoy the full experience and actually smell the clean air around you, without a mask, is priceless.
7) Talking to loved ones through a FaceTime screen is NOT the same as grabbing them in a bear hug and really showing them you love them… it will NEVER be the same.
8) Lastly, the ability to SEE THE END to something so horrific as a virus in our lifetime will be the one thing that BRINGS US HOPE in our soon, (God, I hope it’s soon), future.
Stay Blessed everyone❤️ Have a Great New Year 🙂
